The Horrifying World War II
The first attack in World War II was the attack of Manchuria from Japan. (Elemen) The League of Nations did nothing in response to the invasion. They still did nothing in response to the various invasions and attacks from the totalitarian countries to Ethiopia, Sudetenland, and Austria. Finally, when Germany invaded all of Poland in violation of the Nazi-Soviet Pact, Great Britain declared war. (Elemen) Once again, the alliances kick in and it became a world war. When France fell, Britain stood alone against the Axis Powers. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the US joined the war and gave armies much needed supplies. The tables turned when Russia joined the Allies and won the war on the western front. To win the Eastern font, the US used two nuclear bombs that destroyed almost everything in its path. Germany was once again reduced, but they had help from the Allies to rebuild their economy.
